Anahita Seraji
Events Coordinator
Anahita (she/her) first joined HUB Cycling in 2022 as a Go By Bike Week Event Activator and returned each year to support the event before joining the team as an Event Coordinator in 2025. Her interest in HUB’s mission deepened while working as a Research Assistant on the Active Transportation Injury Circumstances and Outcomes Study, where interviewing injured active transporters and tracking their recovery gave her firsthand insight into the risks they face and reinforced the need for safer, more accessible streets.
As an Event Coordinator, she manages event logistics, supporter relationships, and volunteer coordination. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia and brings an interdisciplinary lens to her work, informed by her background in health, policy, and advocacy. She has also worked in events and public safety as an Event Medic and Community First Responder since 2018.
Outside of HUB, Anahita contributes to a range of community initiatives, leading youth health workshops, supporting refugee families as an interpreter, advancing reproductive health equity, and leveraging her background in film and media to drive transformative change. Across all her roles, she is driven by a commitment to building healthier, happier, and safer communities.
