Langley
As one of HUB Cycling’s ten local committees, we're led by residents like you—no experience needed
The Langley Local Committee is a volunteer group advocating for safer, more accessible cycling and active transportation in the City and Township of Langley.
We work with City and Township staff and officials, provincial authorities and other community organizations to push for better infrastructure and to get more people biking and using active travel. We also host events and social rides to celebrate biking and build community across Langley.
Everyone’s welcome, no experience required.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do Local Committees Do?
HUB Local Committees are at the heart of HUB's advocacy efforts. Made up of people who live, work, bike, walk, and vote in their communities, committee members bring valuable lived experience to the table. They're in the best position to speak up and push for safety improvements where they matter most. Here are some of the things our committees do:
- Writing letters to decision-makers
- Providing feedback on future transportation projects
- Meeting with politicians, planners, and engineers
- Organizing rides to assess cycling conditions
- Hosting community events and building local alliances
- Local Committees are the backbone of HUB Cycling’s advocacy, and the work they do has already led to major improvements across the region.
Visit the Committee Wiki pages to see examples of past letters sent to decision makers, committee assessment bike ride infrastructure reports and past meeting minutes.
